The Pacific Island of Tinian in 1944-45 was a giant floating aircraft carrier. B-29 bombers flew missions against the Empire of Japan.  It was from the Island of Tinian in summer of 1945 that the B-29 Bomber "Enola Gay" dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Below you will find B-29 nose art from Tinian.  Most of the pictures are of ladies who are only partially dressed. Keep in mind the crews responsible for this nose art were thousands of miles from home and very lonely for female companionship.
